Internships

Are you 15-24 years old? Do you know your interests, but you're not sure how to make them into a career in Tourism & Hospitality? Search for a PAID internship in our database below, and we'll help you get through the guesswork, leaving you free to try a career and see if it's right for you!

Contacting businesses directly will not apply you for a paid internship,

so please apply through the Learn More button you see in the internship listing of your choice.

Don't see an internship here that matches your interests? Complete our general application form and we'll connect you to other opportunities!

We recommend that you apply for an internship at least 1 MONTH prior to your projected start date.

The Maine Tourism Association is working with people across Maine to provide those aged 15-24 the opportunity to intern with Tourism and Hospitality businesses that fits their interests. We are able to recommend these internships through two different pathways:
1) the Manpower Maine Career Exploration Program
2) the JMG Maine Career Exploration Badge.
The Manpower Maine Career Exploration Program is an opportunity for 16-24 year old students who have strong career exploration goals and want to intern in a position that typically requires a high school diploma or higher education. This internship provides up to 75-hours of paid work experience at a participating business in your region.
You are required to pay taxes on the amount that you earn.
The JMG Maine Career Exploration Badge is a 40-hour internship available to high school juniors and seniors of any age. By taking part in the MCEB you gain hands-on experience in the field, working in the industry and building connections for future opportunities. Upon completing the MCEB requirements, you will receive a $500 academic award AND class credit from your school through JMG!
