5-yr. Registered Maine Guide
3-yr. Maine Whitewater Guide
Requirements for either reimbursement program:

You are a Maine resident between the ages of 17-24.

You are a high school graduate or have earned a HiSET or GED certification.

You are an individual applying for reimbursement of your own payment (no businesses, schools, or organizations may qualify for reimbursement).

​You have completed the TourismforME online training and gained your badge.

You have completed the licensure requirements outlined in the program outline PDF document within the 2025 calendar year.
Applications for reimbursement will be open from March 1, 2025 through November 1, 2025 or until funds are depleted.
Funding is limited and provided on a chronological basis (those who have completed all the requirements first are reimbursed first).
This program is meant to help individuals alleviate the personal financial burden of gaining Maine Guide or Whitewater Guide certification.
