Sugarloaf Golf Course Horticulture Intern

Sugarloaf Golf Club is looking for a Horticulture Intern to join our team. Located in the Western mountains of Maine, Carrabassett Valley is a great home for any outdoor enthusiast. We offer a balance of work and life allowing employees time to enjoy world-class fishing, scenic hikes, mountain biking, and a Top 5 Golf Course in Maine. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., Sugarloaf offers a challenging layout with panoramic mountain views on every hole.
We are currently seeking qualified and ambitious candidates for this relatively open-ended role that allows for creativity in the design, construction, and maintenance of various landscape features throughout the property. A willingness to learn and adapt to our unique climate is a must and candidates should be prepared for anything Mother Nature might provide.
Working under the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent allows for various benefits. Together we bring a wealth of knowledge from high-end golf facilities to learn from. Still, we strive to maintain a healthy perspective on overall output: fostering a fun, cohesive, team environment for our employees. An alternative to other fast paced, stressful, and competitive environments in the industry.

Candidates for this role must be currently enrolled in or be planning to enroll in a Horticulture or Turf Management program.
