Summer Outdoor Guide Internship

What types of activities will the intern do: A good opportunity to work with two legendary Maine guides to learn the traditional style of canoe guiding using wood canvas canoes (that we make ourselves), the art of poling, and making your own wooden paddle. Help with preparation before trips and clean up after. Help with care of 20 sled dogs at Mahoosuc home base. A unique experience for the right person who wants to learn, work hard and gain knowledge of guiding in Maine. We also work with Cree, Inuit, and Wabanaki people on a number of our trips which is very much a cultural experience. These are full-time internship opportunities. Ideally, interns are able to stay for the duration of the season, but we will welcome interns for as little as 2 weeks. The summer season lasts from late April through early October.
