What types of activites will the intern do: This 10-14 day internship is geared toward hard-workers who have completed at least one year of a high school or college culinary program and have a continued passion for food! Aboard the schooner, you'll have a chance to take your culinary skills to a new level, cooking and baking on a wood-burning stove or over a campfire. You'll help prepare 3+ family-style meals per day for both passengers and crew while sailing around Penobscot Bay. Your daily responsibilities may include: food preparation, cooking, baking, menu writing, dishwashing and clean-up. You'll also learn about interacting with guests, crew members, and the on board chef & galley crew, showing your tenacity in a fast-paced environment. Is transportation provided: Interns will be provided with a bunk and all meals during the sailing season.
